A collaborative project with artist Marcia Huyer created for the woodlands of the Port Angeles Fine Art Center, Washington. A tent is pitched a short distance from the main pathway through the art centre’s wooded property. Upon closer investigation what looks to be a misplaced camper or squatter’s den is discover to be something much more bizarre.

The backside of the tent which has been cut away reveals an odd interior fabricated with camouflage nylon. The interior resembles a restricted hollow found between bushes.
The project explores the subtle unspoken culture conceptions of camping and wilderness, examining the perceptions of where nature is found and where nature is deemed authentic.
