A clustered mass of paper and tape reveals a soup of familiar forms that hold within them the potential to evolve into a fully reconstructed domestic space or have conversely been struck down, discarded into a corner; a pale ghost of what had previously existed. A schematic print delineates what could be the future or the past of the paper heap, amplifying the tension between its utopic and dystopic duality, and the balance in which it teeters between the signified forms – a washer, dryer, rifle, pail, broom, and so on - and the reality of their material.
