Mark Neufeld at the Ministry of Causal Living in 2004. This is a space in Victoria BC with two distinct functions. First a living space, a director in residence, and secondly an alternative project space for artists. Decoy is an exhibition which amplifies these two disparate positions through the creation of the standard fine art institutional wall in contrast to a haphazard collection of minimal living tackle.

It explores the two distinctly different functions of the space yet units them through the discreetly elevated wall, exposing the living space from behind the high museum surface, and in essence pokes a hole through its portrayed separateness.
